Attendance Sunday morning for worship was good we continue to miss our regular members that are out for different reasons; our prayers are they will be back soon.

Visitors were present, hope they received encouragement and blessings by being with us and will be back each week. We are blessed to have them come worship with us.

The call to worship, “He made me glad.” Bro. Ron opened with prayer and announcements. He also said he would have children’s church on the first and third Sundays.

The choir special, “Why do I sing about Jesus?” Other special music was “His wounds has paid my ransom” by Caitlin Butler singing and playing the piano Bro. Ron’s message “Documents for the strong box,” John 3:16, John 5:24, Romans 8:28, I Jn. 3: 1-2, Rev. 19 and other scriptures.

Most everyone has a safety deposit box at the bank or a fireproof box at home for the purpose of keeping valuable documents safe.

The Bible is our spiritual strong box. When saved we have a New Birth Certificate, we have a Deed to eternal life, we have a new life insurance policy unexpected things happen takes us by surprise Rom. 8:28, have Fire Assurance Homeowners Insurance.

God created Hell for the devil and his angels if you refuse a place called Heaven Rev. 19. We need Identification papers who are we? We’re children of God, people should be able to identify us. Baptism does not save anyone but being baptized is a picture of what has taken place in our heart. Do you possess these documents?

Sunday night at 6 p.m. a good attendance present for evening service. Bro. Ron continued message on “Unity and Gifts,” Eph. Chapters 3 and 4 and other scripture. The Morgan County Baptist Association Brotherhood will meet at Centennial Baptist Church Thursday night, Feb.6 at 7 p.m.

The Executive Committee will meet at 6:30p.m. Saturday morning, Feb. 8 the Brownwood Women’s Ministry will meet in the Brownwood Community Building at 10 a.m. (if weather permits). Everyone is asked to bring brunch or munch food. Centennial Baptist Church will host this Line Streaming Event on the sanctuary big screens Tuesday, Feb. 4 starting at 6:45 p.m. The Debate of the Decade.

Admission is Free for all ages. Rebekah, Rachel and Zach Wood spent the weekend with Margie Wood. We had a great time and enjoyed being together. Julie Phillips visited with us on Sunday. Margie Ward visited with the family and friends of Hazel Brown Wednesday night at A. E. Carter Funeral Home.

A funeral service for Hazel Brown was held Thursday at A. E. Carter Funeral Home Chapel interment was in Brownwood Church Cemetery. After the burial Brownwood Church hosted a meal for the Brown family and friends. Our sympathy continues to be with this family during this time. God will always be with you.

The Associational Senior Adult Banquet will be held Saturday, Feb. 22 at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church at 6:30. Bring your favorite food. Try to bring an un-churched or lost friend they will enjoy the fellowship.
