It has been a great New Year out here at Centennial Baptist Church. God has blessed this church in so many ways. The greatest blessing is that we have called a new Lead Pastor, Dr. Michael Stovall. He will start his ministry this coming Sunday, February 2nd, at 10:30AM. We invite you to come hear him preach and meet his family.

Here is his Educational background: Doctor of Ministry; Luther Rice University; Lithonia, GA; 2010; Concentration in Expository Preaching, Master of Divinity; Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary; Wake Forest, NC; 2003, Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry; Shorter University; Rome, GA; 2000 and Associate of Arts; Truett-McConnell College; Cleveland, GA; 1998.

Here is his Philosophy and Core Values for Ministry for Local Church Ministry: “To develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Making disciples is about sharing the gospel and teaching the faith. Discipleship is about life change. The goal is to lead people into a relationship with Jesus that changes the way they relate to God and others. This means that the local church needs a process for leading individuals and families to the stated goal of being fully devoted followers of Jesus.

My vision for developing disciples is to lead individuals and families in a process of worshiping God, connecting with others, growing in our faith and serving the world. A healthy church is one that is making disciples in its own community as well as around the globe. My desire is to lead a local church to embrace an Acts 1:8 strategy for discipleship and church planting.”

“My philosophy of ministry is motivated by five core values: 1) The Lordship of Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible; 2) The value of every individual and the whole family; 3) Meaningful relationships; 4) Personal discipleship; 5) Global missions.”
