Golf Dogs secure wins at Hard Labor Creek

Morgan County High School’s boys golf team secured wins over Greene, Monticello, Monroe, and Social Circle last week at their home course, Hard Labor Creek. The Morgan County boys took on Greene County last Tuesday, March 12, beating the Tigers 170 to 240.

Carson Womack shot a 37 – one over par – for the Dogs, Baylie Fowler earned a 43, Gregory Pecore had a 44, and Eamon Owen and Zack Webb each shot a 46.

On Thursday, the Dogs took on Monticello, Monroe Area, and Social Circle at Hard Labor Creek. Morgan County came in low with a score of 174 while Monticello, Monroe, and Social Circle scored 180, 198, and 202, respectively.

Pecore had the low score for Morgan County at 39. Womack earned a 44, Webb shot a 45, and Fowler finished with 46. The Dogs were scheduled to play against Social Circle and Rabun County on Monday, but the match was rained out.

Tuesday, Morgan County played against Oconee County at Hard Labor Creek. This Saturday, the boys play in the Madison County Tournament at Highland Walk, while the girls host the GA Peach Tournament at Hard Labor Creek.
