On March 12 the JV Boys team took on Oglethorpe at home. Oglethorpe would prove to be a difficult opponent through out the first half. With their coach Ian Palmer out of town, varsity coach Brandon York took over coaching the JV boys for the week.

In the first half the Morgan County boys were down 2 to 0. Coach York said that the team was down because they were over-committing to one side and getting victimized by a quick switch of the field. However near the end of the first half Sam Kuperberg headed in a goal to cut the lead in half. In the second half the Bulldogs continued to apply pressure to the ball.

They improved their passing and worked together as a team. The boys remained patient and enjoyed a number of good offensive looks. Sam Kuperberg added two more goals in the second half for a hat trick. Goalkeeper Austyn Spell stopped a penalty kick that had been awarded to Oglethorpe. The JV team went on to beat Oglethorpe 3 to 2. The JV team will take on Putnam County this week on the road and at home.
