Ty Reed Golf Classic to take place at Bear Creek Golf Club in Monroe on May 5

The Ty Reed Golf Classic is set for May 5 at Bear Creek Golf Club in Monroe. Steve Blanton, Tournament Director, says “the Tournament exists for one reason, to raise funds for the Ty Reed Memorial Scholarship, 501 (c) 3”. Ty Reed was an energetic young Christian man who loved his family and friends, loved people and loved life in general. Ty was taken from us in tragic accident that occurred in March 1993 just a few weeks before his graduation at Morgan County High School. Shortly after Ty’s untimely death his parents, Tim and Caren Reed, established the Ty Reed Memorial Scholarship in memory of Ty. Since 1993, over 40 graduating seniors at Morgan County High School have received the Ty Reed Memorial Scholarship awarded each year to graduating seniors.
