The Morgan County High School JV Diamond Dogs completed their regular season last Thursday, April 10, with a win over Eastside to put the team’s season record at 15-0. This is the second year in a row that Morgan County’s JV baseball team has been undefeated during the regular season. The final game of the season saw the JV Dogs playing the same detail-oriented game that they have been able to achieve for most of the season.

“It was a well-played ball game on both sides,” said Morgan County High School JV Head Baseball Coach Doug Connelly. “We just got a few more hits in critical situations. The boys played great defense, and our pitchers threw strikes and made Eastside put the ball in play. We are really doing a good job of taking care of the baseball.”

The JV Dogs will be taking on Jackson County High School this Saturday, April 19, at Jackson County. The winner of that game will take on the winner of the Oconee vs. Jefferson game that will be going on at the same time later that afternoon. Best of luck to the JV Dogs during their postseason bid for the League Championship.
