On May 16 Donald Swain, 25, Madison, was arrested and charged with two counts of sale of marijuana, two counts of sale of cocaine, one count of possession marijuana with the intent to distribute and one count possession of cocaine. According to reports, Swain allegedly sold marijuana and cocaine to a person on two occasions. On May 16 a search warrant was executed on Swain’s Micha Way apartment. Consequent to the warrant, reports state, both suspected marijuana and cocaine were located at the apartment. Swain was arrested during the execution of the search warrant. On May 21 a criminal trespass complaint was filed at a Micha Circle location. According to reports, a woman flagged down an officer to report that a male juvenile friend of her daughter’s had engaged in an argument with the daughter and had punctured the complainant’s tire. The juvenile said that the complainant’s daughter had punctured one of the tires on his bicycle. The complainant said that the juvenile had also thrown a trash can at her vehicle. On May 22 Charles Brian Montgomery, 38, Covington, was arrested and charged with shoplifting. According to reports, Montgomery allegedly attempted to steal a large suitcase full of items from Wal Mart but was stopped at the exit by a store employee. Montgomery then fled the store, reports state, and attempted to jump into the rear of a moving pickup truck but fell from the truck and the truck sped off without him. Montgomery was located near railroad tracks on Lions Club Road and a had a gash over one eye and cut knees, reports state. He was then arrested and detained. Reports state that the suitcase contained more than $1,000 in merchandise. On May 14 Brooke Elizabeth Maughon, 18, Madison and Tyler Ann Spizzirri, 20, Buckhead, were both arrested and charged with shoplifting. According to reports, both had allegedly concealed more than $400 worth of makeup items from the cosmetic section at Wal Mart and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. On May 19 a larceny from auto complaint was filed at a Fourth Street location. According to reports, a woman said someone entered her unlocked vehicle and removed a purse and a Tom Tom GPS unit. On May 20 Tonya Moody, 43, Madison, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. According to reports, officers were called to a disturbance complaint at Travelodge motel, Eatonton Road regarding a woman using obscene language. When they arrived Moody denied using obscene language. Reports state that she appeared intoxicated and told officers she had consumed one bottle of Vodka. A witness said she had used foul language in front of children. At that point she was arrested. On May 24 a fraud complaint was filed at a North Main Street location. According to reports, a man stated that he had received two checks on an account that had been closed. The man said he received a third check but did not attempt to cash it. The checks total $62. On May 25 Joshua Edward Bradshaw, 20, was arrested and charged with shoplifting. According to reports, a store employee at Ingles, Eatonton Road, stated that Bradshaw was observed attempting to conceal items in his child’s baby stroller and diaper bag as he pushed the child around the store. Approximately $70 worth of items were recovered including steaks, A-1 steak sauce, energy drinks and barbecue sauce.
