Summertime is here and maybe your family is looking for affordable camp options to fill in some of that “free time” you have while school is out. There are lots of great opportunities in and around our community for your family. I’d like to tell you about a few options that are FREE! Who doesn’t like a good scavenger hunt? Centennial Baptist Church will be hosting our annual Vacation Bible School on June 8-13 from 5:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m. each night. Our theme this year is VBS Scavenger Hunt – Finding My Place in God’s Story.

The truth is that God is our Creator and He has created each of us unique and special. As our Creator, God is writing the story of our lives and He has a specific plan for each one of us to know Him personally, and to enjoy His blessings, as we walk this journey called life. During the week of June 8-13, the kids and students at VBS Scavenger Hunt will have tons of fun learning about God’s love for them and experiencing the thrill of the VBS Scavenger Hunt. VBS Scavenger Hunt is for children 3 years old through completion of twelfth grade.

A light meal will be provided each night from 5:30-5:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for registered VBS Students (thru 12th Grade). Also, we have planned a summer of Family Fun at Centennial Baptist Church. Each week we are hosting an evening of family fun that is just for you and your family. We will be hosting a kick ball tournament and homemade ice cream night (June 18), family Olympics and watermelon night (June 25), Starlight Spectacular fireworks (July 6), fish fry (July 9), Braves game trip (July 25) and a movie on the ball field (August 1).

You can get more information at or by contacting the church office at 706-557-2120. We would love to connect with you and your family and get to know our neighbors better. We are here to serve you and your family any way that we possibly can help. I hope to see you this summer at one of the many family fun events. You are always welcome to worship with us on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. There is a place for you at Centennial Baptist Church.
