On June 9 an argument complaint was filed at a Prospect Road location. According to reports, a man met a deputy at the end of a driveway and alleged that his brother was drunk and was both waking he and his mother and had threatened both with a knife. The drunken brother said he had been in his room watching television. The complainant said he wanted to collect his belongings and move out of the house. On June 8 Rydrell Demond Revere, 26, Madison and Briana Elder, 19, Madison, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. According to reports, a man on Jackson Street said he observed a hostile group of approximately 25 people approach his house.

The complainant alleged that Elder struck him in the stomach with a brick and that Revere was arguing with the man. The man fled into his residence and called authorities. On June 7 a verbal dispute report was filed at a Seven Islands Road, Buckhead location. According to reports, a woman said her husband had arrived at her residence despite being warned to stay away. The woman said the man engaged in an argument so she called authorities. The man agreed to leave, stating that he no longer lived with his wife anyway.

On June 7 a burglary and theft by taking complaint was filed at a Godfrey Road location. According to reports, two men said that someone, after May 31, had pried open two doors to a vacant house and removed a Chevrolet pickup truck, a set of oxygen/acetylene tanks with hoses and cutting torches attached, a microwave oven, a grey Craftsmen riding lawn mower, a bottle of liquor and a very large box of pornography.

On June 7 Jeffery Scott Lummus, 38, Conyers, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. According to reports, Lummus was driving a vehicle through a check point at the intersection of Apalachee Road and Beaver Dam Road. During the checkpoint, reports state, an officer reported detecting the smell of green marijuana in Lummus’ vehicle. After being told by Lummus that there was both marijuana and cocaine in his girlfriend’s pocket book, an officer located plastic bag of suspected marijuana and a small silver container that contained a white powder substance believed to be cocaine. Lummus told the officer that the drugs were his responsibility. On June 5 a theft by taking complaint was filed at a Price Mill Road, Bostwick location. According to reports, a woman said that after she had returned to her father’s house after a two week trip to the beach, her son’s Xbox 360 game console was missing from the residence. The woman said she suspects her father’s girlfriend of taking the game console because the woman disapproves of the son playing video games inside during the day.

On June 5 a recovered property report was filed at Planation Road. According to reports, a man came to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and delivered a Cobra .22 caliber derringer type handgun he stated he had found on Plantation Road. The weapon had two live rounds in the chamber. On June 5 an information report was filed at Union Springs Cemetery, Rutledge. According to reports, a woman stated that after she had buried her sister at the cemetery she noticed that there appeared to be another recent burial within the confines of her family’s plot. The woman said she would contact the church to determine a resolution.

On June 5 an information report was filed at a Brownwood Road, Rutledge, location. According to reports, a man said that he received three phone calls within four minutes from someone claiming to be with the U.S. Treasury. The man said the caller said there was a lawsuit against him and that if he did not wire money immediately they would have him arrested. Another person at the residence answered the fourth call and informed the caller that they knew it was a scam and told them to stop calling.

On June 3 Dustin Dukes, 35, was arrested and charged with burglary. According to reports, he allegedly gained entry to a woman’s Hawkins Avenue, Rutledge, residence at approximately 4:15 a.m. by pushing a window unit out of a window. The woman, her daughter and another man at the residence confronted Dukes and forced him away from the residence, reports state. Dukes was known to the woman and she told officers his address. He was located at his Fairplay Street, Rutledge residence and arrested.
