Flambeau, a global plastic manufacturing company with a Madison branch, held a job fair at the Hampton Inn on Friday, June 27. The company is currently hiring for over 30 positions, ranging from entry level positions to certification-level positions. Robin Miller, the human resources manager for the Madison branch said, “we have done job fairs before, but not any in recent years”. “We are growing at such a fast pace and need to hire more people. We are growing like crazy and just cannot get enough people in,” said Miller. According to Miller, last year the Madison branch employed 125 associates amd this year, employs 165. The majority of jobs available at the moment are for machine operators, which is an entry level position.
There are four skilled positions open for process technicians, who handle injection and blowing molds. “In order to qualify for the skilled positions, an applicant would need experience,” said Miller. “It’s similar to a maintenance technician. They would need a background in trouble shooting, diagnosing, and getting such a process running smoothly.” A few management positions are available as well, specifically for a process engineer and continuous improvement manager. “Any one is welcome to apply,” said Miller.
“We are a terrific company to work for.” Flambeau has been in business for over 65 years, with the Madison branch opening in 1995. “It’s a stable company with long-term associates. We have very good vacation and insurance benefits. Over all, it’s a very family-oriented company. To apply for a position at Flambeau, visit: www.flambeau.com.
