The Madison Artists Guild (MAG) hoped to host an eclectic exhibit that could feature the talents of all its members. Creatures and Critters did just that.

MAG experienced a successful turnout to its anticipated opening reception of The Creatures and Critters exhibit at the Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton on August 14.

Artists, such as Janet Rodekohr of Bishop, attended the exhibit and brought family and friends to view the show as well. Members and viewers alike gathered around the various forms of art displayed at the exhibit. Paintings, photography and even jewelry were put on display for those in attendance.

“We wanted a broadly-ranged theme in order to give all our guild members an opportunity to show their work. Creatures and Critters doesn’t necessarily have to be animals, but it can also be mythical creatures,” said Executive Director Elizabeth Collins.

MAG members are artists from all over the area and not just those who live in Madison. Therefore, hosting this exhibit at the Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton was a welcomed event.

MAG welcomes visitors to come view the Creatures and Critters exhibit at the Plaza Arts Center, which will be on display Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until September 29.
