Local musician, Carrie Bowen of Monroe, is set to have a music video premier at Ricky D’s Retro Theater in Madison on Oct. 14 at 7 PM.
Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased through Eventbrite.com. A portion of the sales will be donated to i-care4.org, an organization that is building a restoration home for women and children that are victims of human trafficking.
Bowen, 38, sings Christian music and is looking forward to showing the music video of her new love song entitled “The Sight of You,” to the community.
“Everything that I sing is very hope-filled and happy. It’s kind of folk-pop, style-wise,” said Bowen. “I just love to share my music and hope it resonates with people.”
The single is produced and directed by Slade Curtis and Ryan Norton of Bowler Hat Films.
“’The Sight of You’ is a delicate combination of sweet sentiment and lasting love that is sure to capture your heart,” said the producers.
Over the years, Bowen has recorded several albums and singles, but has renewed focus recently to get her music to the public.
“I am getting out there more now,” said Bowen. “And it’s a way to give back as well.”
Bowen found her way to Madison through a local producer, Travis Breedlove of Madison, who had his own movie premier at Ricky D’s.
Bowen wrote a song for a Christmas movie Breedlove worked on called “South for the Winter.” “I am so happy to get connected in Madison.
It’s a great town and I hope people will come out to the premier!” To find out more about Bowen, visit her website at: Carriebowen.com
