Mr. Willie Reid “Bill” Edwards was born November 5, 1936 to the late Mr. Willie Richard “Bud” Edwards and the late Mrs. Annie Lola Jordan Edwards. He attended the public school of Morgan County. He was a dedicated employee with Patillo Construction Company for over 35 years until he became disabled to work. On September 14, 2014 he was called to his heavenly home. He leaves to cherish his memories a wife of 56 years, Mrs. Arlene Ross Edwards; six children, Bernitha Revere, Donald Edwards, Leander (Angela) Edwards, all of Madison, Willie Reid (Teresa) Edwards of Warner Robbins, Eugene (Glenda) Swain of Buckhead, Charles Swain of Madison; five grandchildren, Shenetha Edwards, Rydrell Revere, Lakira Edwards, Ariana Edwards, all of Madison, Willie Rico Edwards of Oklahoma City, Okla.; seven great-grands, Tyreke Hardy, Rynyjah and Tykera Revere, Zion Revere, all of Madison, Jaylen, Brycen and Camden Edwards of Oklahoma City, Okla., six sisters, Ruthie Mae Coats, Mamie Lee (Clarence) Bennett, Nellie, Margie Flora Bell, and Lucinda Edwards, all of Buckhead; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Ross Boswell of Albany; one brother-in-law, Clarence Bennett of Buckhead, one uncle, Curtis (Betty) Hall of Indiana, a devoted niece, Tammy Coats; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Four sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
