Tommy Lee Johnson (“Snap”), also known as “Deac”, was born on June 26, 1942 to the late Quincy Chaney and the late Elmira Watts in Monroe County Georgia. He peacefully transitioned from this life on October 7, 2014. At an early age, he joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Forsyth, Georgia, and later in life, he moved his membership to Union Springs Baptist Church in Madison. He was a dedicated member of “The Springs” where he served as an ordained deacon and financial officer of the church. Tommie attended the public schools in Monroe County, Georgia. After attending school, he later became employed with Dexter Axle Trucking Company, Inc. in Monticello where he was a dedicated employee until his retirement after 36 years of service with over 5,250,000 accident free miles. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted and loving wife, Willie Ann Johnson; four sons and one predeceased him in death; three daughters; two sons-in-laws; one daughter-in- law; ten grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; one aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Tommy “Deac” is truly loved and will be truly missed.
