Early voting in Morgan County began Monday, Oct. 13 and will continue until Election Day on November 4, with 137 votes cast on the first day of early voting. Those interested in voting early should report to the Morgan County Elections and Registration Office on 434 Hancock Street in Madison, which is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. October 25th will be the only day for early Saturday voting.

Otherwise, all voting precincts will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters will have to be registered to vote in Morgan County and will need to present a photo ID in order to cast their vote. Absentee ballots are available for request until October 31. This year, voters can also find information from the new “GA Votes” app, available for Android and iPhone users. The app allows users to register online, request an absentee ballot, check registration and ballot status, and even provides current ballots to review.
