The Morgan County Board of Elections and Registration (BOER) is optimistic for a big turnout in this year’s Nov 4 General Election. In the first two days of early voting, 380 ballots have been cast. “We have the potential of 3,000 early voters,” said Elections Supervisor Bobby Howington. After only two days of Early Voting, these impressive numbers have pleased BOER members. “Everything’s coming right along, I think this will be a more of an attended midterm election than we’ve seen in the past. Naturally we have a lot of interest plus we have local candidates for a state position in this county which will drive the increase in voting,” said Howington. A total of 350 of the early votes were cast in person and the remaining 30 by mail. Early voting for the November 4 General Election ends on October 31.
