Louise Cain Nelson “Ma” died October 28, 2014. She was born December 13, 1929 to Will Cain and Laura Bell King who preceded her in death. She had a total of 11 siblings with one brother still living Foster Cain who lives in Atlanta. Her heart and passion was babysitting the neighborhood children. She worked as a homemaker in many homes in Morgan County. She joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church later in life where she was a devoted member. She attended church until the last days of her death. She is survived by five children, in which one preceded her in death, Mary Nelson Jackson, John Nelson both of Madison; Dottie Lee of Eatonton; Joe Henry Nelson, preceded her in death, and Keith Nelson (Trisha) of Greensboro; she had several God children Anthony Williams of Monroe; Cynthia Vessel of Madison and Norma (Clay) Milsap of Athens and a devoted and dedicated friend Minnie Williams. Ms. Nelson also leaves six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2 at St. Paul AME Church with Pastor Cedrick Cotton Eulogist. Interment was in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery Flower Girls were Laura Williams, Chiquita Parks, Yvette Adams, Sherwanda Swain, Sarah Copeland, Ulyless Swain and Jannie Swain. Pallbearers were Anthony Williams, William Cox, Walter Adams, Mario McGuire, Kermit Reid and Michael Wallace. Jones and Turner Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
