Victory belonged to the JV Hoop Dogs as they secured a 50-32 win against the Elbert Blue Devils. The match up was played at Elbert which made the win especially sweet explained Coach Jonathan Nelson. “Elbert is a tough team. Those guys play very hard and they play with a lot of pride,” said Nelson. With each game the JV Hoop Dogs make great strides toward proving their talent and Friday night’s game against Elbert was no exception. “ Considering how far we’ve come so far the team is headed for success,” said Nelson. Quintavious Williams scored 10 points in the game and Tradarious Bristoe contributed nine to the win. In the first play of the game, Latravius Stokes suffered a growth plate injury in his hip, which resulted in surgery. “He’s in good spirits. He’s a very good player and he will come back strong after his recovery. We send him well wishes,” said Nelson. The JV Hoop Dogs will continue to practice in anticipation of their upcoming games. Next, the team will face Jackson at home on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
