The Steffen Thomas Museum of Art (STMA) is gearing up for its new workshop series, beginning on Saturday, January 10. According to Karen Strelecki, director of the STMA, the museum is all set to unveil their exciting new STMArtventures Experiences in Creativity 2015. The workshop features a “Meditate, Create, Explore” session, which is a three-hour experience taught by yoga instructor Allie Bourgeois and collaborative artist Angelina Bellebuono. “Restore your creative self with this special Saturday morning guided meditation focusing on creativity, color and calm, while surrounded by the beauty of Steffen Thomas’ art. Bourgeois will walk participants through the quiet spaces of the mind, unlocking and exploring the creative self that can be silenced by the busy-ness of life,” explained Bellebuono. Following the meditation, Bellebuono will guide participants through an exploration of their meditation experience using art, words and expression. No art or meditation experience is necessary, and all ages (teen through adult) are welcome. The class runs from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m on Saturday, January 10. For STMA members, workshop fees are $14 adult/$10 child; for non-members, $12 adult/$10 child, and gift certificates for this workshop are available upon request, if you’d like to gift a friend or family member with a morning of meditation and art at the beautiful Steffen Thomas Museum of Art. “Meditate, Create, Explore” is the perfect way to renew after the holiday season. Pre-paid registration is required, and space is limited, so reserve a spot (or two) soon!” said Bellebuono. For more information, visit, call the museum at 706.342.7557 or email Angelina at
