Two wins and a tie for MCHS Boys Varsity and JV soccer teams. Tuesday, Feb. 10, the varsity boys beat Newton County High School 3-0. “They played a great game,” said Coach Aaron Paul. “Everyone did really well.”

According to Paul, varsity players Carter Achison, David Cuesta, Ricky Mendez, and Matthew Cantero played especially well during Tuesday’s game. On Friday Night, Feb 13, the varsity boys played a tight game that resulted in a tie. The team tied 2-2 with Alcovy.

“We played great overall,” said Paul. “Alcovy was a big, fast, and physical AAAAAA (six A) school and we stayed right with them the entire game. We actually had more shots on goal than Alcovy.”
