Eddie James Pilcher Sr. “Honey”, 61, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at Morgan Memorial Hospital. He was born January 10, 1954 the son of the late John C. and Prince E. Pilcher in Madison.
He was called “Honey” by his family and loved ones. He worked for many years for the Gordan and Terrell Logging Truck Company. He moved to South Carolina and did mechanical work in the early 90’s. He was a member of Barrow Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by four brothers Charles, Henry, Jimmy and Tom Pilcher, two sisters Mancy Clay and Ruby Hunter.
“Honey” leaves to cherish his memories his wife Dian Pilcher, a loving and devoted companion of 14 years Debra Martin; a daughter Connie Thomas of Covington, a son Eddie James Pilcher Jr. of South Carolina; three granddaughters Makayla Thompson, Ketera Thomas and Zarhiay Thomas; three sisters Lizzie Jones and Mary Pilcher of Madison and Polly Pilcher of Social Circle, two brothers Johnny and Robert Pilcher, both of Madison; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were great nephew and nephews, Anthony Ferrell, Derrick Jones, Tamarcius Pilcher, Tradarious Brisco, Willie Hunter, Rashad Snow and Kendrick Jordan.
Flower girls were his great nieces, Miracle Ferrell, Diamond Mainer, Samaurica Ferrell, Tamara Pilcher, Mercedes Briscoe and Orsha Hunter. Watts Funeral Home, Inc. in Union Point was in charge of arrangements.
