Special to the Citizen
The Men of Praise of First Baptist Church, Snellville will be bringing their “Musical Message of Hope,” to the local community and congregation of New Hope Baptist Church on May 3 at 6 p.m. This all male choral group of approximately 25 men is best known for sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their unique presentation of several different styles of music to dozens of small churches primarily located in North and Middle Georgia. The Men of Praise were recently honored to share the stage with Ernie Haase and Signature Sound at a concert in Atlanta and have been featured on several live telecasts originating from Atlanta station WATC TV 57. The mission of the Men of Praise is to encourage both the churched and the un-churched by pointing to the Cross of Jesus Christ in all of their music in both an energetic as well as a sound musical manner. After attending a Men of Praise concert, no one can deny what Jesus has done and is continuing to do for them. The Men of Praise is under the direction of Lawton Roberts, who is also an active member of the statewide Georgia Baptist men’s Sons chorus. The Sons of Jubal, which has in recent years traveled to Russia, China and even North Korea to share the Gospel in song.
