Recently the Three Seasons Garden Club celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the organization of the club at their annual Spring picnic held at the home of Cathy and Steven Whitcomb. The club recognized the original members in attendance and fun, fellowship and yummy food was enjoyed by all. Three Seasons Garden Club was organized in 1975 with 12 couples. The club was sponsored by the Madison Boxwood Garden Club, under the guidance of Mary Belcher and Catherine Shouse. In 1975 it was only the second couples garden club in Georgia, with Boxwood being the first couples garden club. It is now a woman’s garden club with 26 members. The club’s name comes from the three seasons of the year that they meet, spring, winter and fall.
