It could be worse

Praise God for our hot weather. It could be worst like some of the other states I’ve seen on the news. I won’t complain God knows what’s best for us.

We had a great turnout Saturday at Madison Health and Rehab every thing went great. Mother Elaine Atkinson presided, Mother Dorothy Thomas opened with a song, sister Quita Bell had prayer, Sis. Sandra Lockhart read the scripture, Mother Atkinson sang a song, Sis. Willie Ann Johnson read a poem entitled, “The Little Things”, Mother Mary Weaver did a reading, “I Refuse to be Defeated,” Sis. Hazel Lunceford sang a song and had prayer, Sis. Carolyn Hill reflection, and Sister Linda Cummings.

We had a visitor who comes to the home regular to see his wife and he’s a minister. Some of us didn’t know that he was a Minister. I think Mother Atkinson knew and she asked him to say a few words of comfort. He just could not stop so he brought the Word. God is so awesome because Evangelist Stokes was to bring the message but she was not up to it. She was going to do it anyway. Praise God Minister Luke Comas was there at the right time. God always has a ram in the bush. Thank you Minister Comas. He talked about “In my Father’s house there are many mansions.” He also said we must put hatred away and love everybody because God is Love. Praise His only name. We must continue to read 2 Chronicles 7-14. If my people will humble themselves and pray and seek me and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.

People our land needs healing. Thank you Lord. I have not seen many hummingbirds but lots of white butterflies; I mean a lot of them in my flower beds. My condolences go out to the families in South Carolina. Also to the Gordon Family here in Madison. Continue to pray for our nation, the sick and shut-ins. Until next third Saturday see you! Thought for the week: Jesus loves you and me this I know for the Bible tells me so.
