What beautiful fall weather we are having. I am enjoying it very much. I like “cool” days and nights. I’m back after a week’s vacation. The residents seem to be in good spirit on Saturday waiting and watching for each one of us to come in. I was a little late getting there and Mrs. Brinkley yelled out, “Willie Ann from Dr. Lewis office. How’s he doing?” I said to her, “I haven’t seen him in a while. Let’s hope he’s doing okay.” And she smiled and said “okay.”
Our program began with Mother Claire Atkison at her post which is presiding over the program. Mother Dorothy Taylor opened up with a song. Sister Carolyn Hill said prayer. Sister Mary Ann Bailey read the scripture. It was Roman 14:1-2. Sister Hazel Lunceford sang “Because He Live.” Mother Willie Ann Johnson did the devotional reading. Sister Carolyn Hill did a song and dance. Song of preparation by Sister Taylor Evangelist. Lizzie Stokes read the word from Hebrew, Chapter II verses 1-15. Topic: “Have faith in God.” The beginning point of faith is believing in God’s character, he is who he say he is. From this point we can move on to believe in God’s promises. He will do what he says he will do. When we believe that God will fulfill his promises even though we don’t see those promises materializing yet we demonstrate true faith. God gave his approval to people in days of old because of their faith. It was by faith that Noah built an ark to save his family from the flood. Continue to read the entire chapter on more things about faith it is impossible to please God without faith. Praise God.
Thank you Evangelist Stokes for a job well done faith. I wish Monaray a speedy recovery. Remember all sick and shut-ins in your thoughts and prayers. Thought for the Week: Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you. “Worry ends where faith begins.”
