Someone fired a bullet Saturday into the bedroom of a 5–year–old girl. According to Madison Police Department reports, a 30–year–old mother reported that her daughter had just exited the bedroom at approximately 8:45 p.m. when someone fired a shot from the rear of the woman’s Bramblewood Drive apartment. Reports state that that the bullet entered the residence at approximately 5’10” off the ground and exit the residence through a second window at 6’5.” Reports state that the bullet also travelled through a bathroom that was located between the rear bedroom (entrance point) and front bedroom (exit point). Officer Andy Koth reported that he believed the shot was fired approximately 160 feet from the intersection of East Washington Street and Creek Point Drive. He also noted that the rear of the residence could not be observed from where the shot was believed to be fired and that there is a wooded area located directly behind the apartment.
