Special to the Citizen:
The Madison-Morgan Conservancy will be hosting two events in March, one to welcome a new change and one is an annual favorite! On Monday, March 7, the Conservancy will host an open house in our new office space at 162 N. Main Street from 4-6 p.m.. Join us for light refreshments and fellowship – all are welcome! Then, on Friday, March 18, the Conservancy will host their annual Membership Supper 7-9:30 p.m., at Dan Rather’s barn at Malcom’s Crossroads. We invite you (members and non-members alike, of course) to join us for a delicious chili supper! This annual gathering is a fun, relaxed way to spend time with friends and hear about the Conservancy’s work. We will celebrate the successes of last year and look forward to next year. Every year a special guest joins us at the Membership Supper to add a little something extra. This year Brad Kelly of Farmview Market will talk to us about the new and exciting market on Hwy 441 just south of I-20: Georgia’s dream of all local everything. Tickets are $35 member, and $55 non-member.
Not a member? That’s okay! Buy your tickets at the non-member price, and you’ll get a one-year membership. We would LOVE for you to join us – our membership is growing and is a significant source of our funding. Registration is available online, www.mmcGeorgia.org, by phone (706) 818-8046, and by mail, P.O. Box 752, Madison, GA. 30650. The Madison-Morgan Conservancy is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide public education on conservation matters and to protect and enhance the heritage and quality of life of the residents of Morgan County by preserving historic sites, greenspace, farmland, and timberland.
