Ask yourself: What does God ask me to do?

Sunday morning attendance was good some members were out due to sickness, work and traveling. Several visitors were present. We are thankful for them coming and pray they were blessed and encouraged by coming and know they will be welcome anytime they come to worship with us. Sunday we had a Gideon speaker David Bishop who spoke to us on the ministry of the Gideon’s asking, “What does God ask me to do?” Matthew 28: 18-20, Romans 10: 13-17. Jesus speaks with authority and wants us to tell others what he’s done for us. The Gideon’s seek to win the lost but they have set backs when certain places won’t let them hand out or place Bibles in their places. He says theya re Jesus’ feet going into the world with these Bibles. He said our life is about pointing others to Jesus, some will accept Him and some will not, he said we are to plant the seed. It is good to know some schools, motels, hotels and hospitals still accept the small testaments and Bibles in their facilities. I have been told if you go in some of these places and you don’t see a Bible you just need to ask and usually they will get you one. During the invitation Randy, Trina and Rebecca Cottrell came forward uniting with our church for membership. We are thankful they came and as a church family we pray they will feel welcome and be able to carry on God’s work with us. We all are here to help them anyway we can.
