Our Family Ties group of about 30 enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by the Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 14th.  After a delicious home-cooked meal and dessert, the group then enjoyed encouraging words from Derrick Worrell who spoke about how he turned his life around.  *If you are a grandparent or other relative over the age of 55 who has custodial responsibility, and would like to learn more about or join our Family Ties group please contact the Senior Center at 706-342-1614.

The Seniors enjoyed an Easter Party Celebration on March 25th beginning with a variety of fun-filled hilarious Easter games.   They took a break to enjoy a delicious lunch and then continued on with the festivities.  Everyone got their bellies full and had a blast.

On March 29th, many Seniors enjoyed a day trip to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, GA.  We first had a delicious lunch at Ole Times County Buffet and then enjoyed the festivities at the festival.

The Senior Center has arranged a 5 day/4 night Nashville Show Trip through Diamond Tours August 15th-19th.  If you would like to join us, we still have slots available.  You do not have to be a member of the Center.  Contact Diane Malcom at 706-342-1614 if you are in need of a fun getaway.  A $75.00 deposit is due by April 11th.

You really must come out to the Center to enjoy all the fun and fellowship.  The Senior Center is  for adults 60 years old and over.  A nutritious lunch is provided Monday thru Friday.  We offer a wide variety of programs, services, and activities.  Our Transit System can provide transportation to the Center, if needed.  We also offer home delivered meals to home bound residents in the Morgan County area.  If you  are interested in joining the Center or wanting additional information, please contact the Morgan County Senior Center at 706-342-1614 or stop by to see us at 991 South Main Street (located next to the hospital).
