Special to the Citizen
Members of the Lake Oconee Quilt Guild will share their beautiful works of fabric art during the Third Biennial Quilt Show. Over 100 quilts will be on display at Festival Hall in downtown Greensboro from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 15 & 16 April 2016. Quilts have been judged by a Certified Quilt Judge and ribbons awarded to the best in several categories.
This quilt show will also feature a Boutique of hand-made items and home-made baked goods for sale. Vendors of sewing and quilting items, and quilting books will have booths at the show. Scissor and knife sharpening are also available on Friday.
Tickets are available for the Raffle Quilt drawing to be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, 16 April; you do not have to be present for the drawing. This breath-taking quilt was pieced and hand-appliqued by Guild Members and professionally machine quilted by Guild Member and Milledgeville resident, Terri Taylor.
Adult admission to the quilt show is $7 at the door; children 12 and under enter free. Please visit the Lake Oconee Quilt Guild page at www.loqg.org for more information.
