Momma! Stop tryin’ to sweep that pollen off the porch! It ain’t gonna do no good! Leave it be and let’s go antique shoppin’! Yes! Y’all we are flat ding dang lucky to live in Morgan County with all the antique shops and flea markets! First up lets head on over to Unique Treasures where I flat found some doozy deals Unique Treasures located at 1620 Athens Hwy., in Madison across from Youngblood Motors is flat fantastic! Owner Cheryl Kimbrell of Madison just showed us some beautiful antiques that she gets from a dealer in Pennsylvania! I have flat got to get that antique buffet! Oh and the prices on all of the antiques is extremely affordable! Y’all check out Cheryl’s ad in the Spring issue of Lake Oconee Living and get over there and find out what this upscale flea market has for you! Oh. My. Gosh! Le Petit Jardin located at 142 Academy Street in Madison next to Madison Markets is flat gorgeous and ready for spring. Honey if you need your spirit lifted, get over there and just browse among the plants, statuary and . . . Hold the phone!

I just saw a tiny fairy flittin’ round pullin’ on Momma’s hair! Oh that’s right y’all! Le Petit Jardin has everything you need to build a precious miniature garden or fairy garden so you had best build one of those fairies are gonna pester you all ding dang Spring! Right so owner Debbie Accetturo says that in May look for Le Petit Jardin to host some fairy garden classes! I cannot wait! Keep watchin’ the Buzz for more details! Lord have mercy! Lead the band! The annual NAACP Black History Parade is this Saturday at 1 p.m.! The parade route begins at Morgan County High School, travels down College Dr., turns left on North Main Street, right on West Jefferson Street and ends at Second Street. The City of Madison’s ad in this week’s Citizen recommends viewin’ the parade along North Main St. and West Jefferson St.! The NAACP Black History Festival is scheduled to begin in Town Park immediately following the parade! Mark your calendars! The ONE MORGAN – The Concert is slated for April 29 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Morgan County High School Auditorium located at 1231 College Drive in Madison! This concert benefits Jamal Ross, a 2015 graduate of Morgan County High School who recently lost his arm to a cancerous tumor.

The students of Morgan County High School decided to donate the money raised from the concert to Jamal and his family to cover medical expenses! Tickets are $5 at the door! Be there! Hey! Y’all get ready for Farmview Market’s first Farmers Market on April 30! And, then swing on over to Madison Fest at Town Park! It’s a double whammy weekend for sure! Oh shhhhh! Y’all don’t tell but every Monday and Tuesday Farmview Market has some really great specials at the butcher shop! You will flat love the stuffed chicken breast selections!
