Bryan and Melissa Powell of Bostwick are happy to announce the forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Ansley Lisa Powell to James “Clay” Lester, son of Jerry Dewayne Lester of Decatur and Julie Harp Ward of Dallas. They were engaged on July 26, 2015.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Michael and Cathy Powell of Bostwick and Gene and Janice Perry of Social Circle. The groom-elect is the grandson of Nancy Harp of Rutledge.
Ansley is a 2013 graduate of Morgan County High School. She attended two mission trips to Wisconsin to teach Vacation Bible School, her first was in 2013 and her second trip was in 2014 with the Briarwood Baptist Church. Ansley received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Care and Learning from Athens Technical College. She is employed by University of Georgia, University Child Care Center in Athens as a lead teacher. She is continuing her education to obtain her bachelor’s degree.
Clay is a 2013 graduate of Morgan County High School. He was a member of the ROTC program while attending Morgan County High School. He attended Athens Technical College and he has been a member of Morgan County Volunteer Fire Rescue Department, Station 3 since 2012. He is employed with Dixie Seeding & Environmental Services, Inc. in Bostwick.
Ansley and Clay are both active members of Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church in Bostwick. Rev. John Autry, pastor of Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church will perform the marriage ceremony.
The wedding is May 22, 2016 at 9 Oaks Farm in Monroe.
