As part of their Chamber Music Festival, Madison Morgan Cultural Center (MMCC) will be hosting Atlanta Symphony members and Cirque de la Symphonie performers for the Cirque de la Musique de Chambre performances on Jun. 5.

MMCC has had several musical performances throughout the month of May for the festival and the Cirque de la Musique de Chambre will be the last of these performances and an opportunity to see some great acrobatic shows.

“Cirque de la Symphonie is a new production formed to bring the magic of cirque to the music hall,” said MMCC Director Kim Brown. “Artists include the most amazing veterans of exceptional cirque programs throughout the world.”

Morgan County residents will have two opportunities to view these acrobatic performers on Jun. 5, starting with MMCC’s annual bike parade with a free family concert following it.

There will be a bike safety talk at 3:30 and the parade will immediately follow, but it is encouraged for people to come early as the parade line-up starts at 3:15 and there will be opportunities to decorate bikes with The Painted Pineapple. Prizes will be given to those who decorate their bikes as the “Most Musical” and “Most Madison.”

At 4 p.m., families are welcome in the MMCC Hall to see the first performance by Cirque de la Symphonie acrobats and can enjoy a free ice cream social after the performance provided by The Caboose. Chic-Fil-A, Inc. will be sponsoring this free concert and the bike parade.

For the Finale of the Chamber Music Festival that day, people are welcome to see Cirque de la Symphonie performers do their choreographed performance to the full-length of Kabalevsky’s “The Comedians,” played by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra members, as well as other popular pieces performed by orchestra members.

This final performance will be sponsored by Brady Inn and people can find tickets to this performance at www.mmcc-arts.org, or by calling (706) 342-4743. Tickets are $25 per person or $5 for students with IDs. Doors will open at the MMCC Hall at 7 p.m. and the performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.
