As June winds down, the wrestling workouts, camps, and other activities do as well.  Football is right around the corner for Robbins, who is also the offensive coordinator for the Bulldogs.  Let’s just say he’s a busy man.

Here are his comments about how the summer has gone for the Matdogs, “As we head into the GHSA dead week, our varsity summer program comes to a close, as the only events left before school are a handful of individual camps the young men will attend on their own. I’m really excited about what this summer has done for our team. Not only did we increase the amount of practices for our guys, but we really put an emphasis on lifting every day after practice to follow up on the momentum they built in the weight room during the school year. Add seven tough competitions which included some of the toughest opponents from all over the southeast, and it has easily created the best summer our team has had since I’ve been here at Morgan. It has been better not only because the practice and competition schedule has been boosted, but specifically because of the participation level we’ve seen from our wrestlers. Our numbers have been higher than ever before, and considering that we are coming off of one of our best years, I feel confident about our ability to bring another team wrestling state title back to MCHS.”
