Developer Edward Good on behalf of Friesen Real Estate Holdings, who proposed the Foster Street project, has officially withdrawn his re-zoning application.
After postponing his rezoning application at the June 30th meeting, Good officially withdrew the application on July 11.
The reason for withdrawal was not noted, and was not required, however City Planner Mollie Bogle advised that it is possible Madison could receive another similar application in the future.
“The applicant followed correct procedures and withdrew their application in the proper amount of time. It is possible we could receive another application from them or a different applicant at anytime,” stated Bogle.
The project for 622 Foster Street in the Historic District of Madison would have been a 37 home neighborhood. The 12-plus acre property would have featured 16 cottages ranging from 1,800 to 2,000-square-feet, and 21 homes ranging from 2,200 to 2,400-square-feet.
