Two gun welding men burst into Madison’s Moore’s Pharmacy Saturday morning and held the owner and his son at gun point while they robbed the store of cash and prescription narcotics.

According to Sgt. Scott Pitocchelli, Madison Police Department, two black males with masks and pistols entered the drug store located on Eatonton Road at approximately 9 a.m. Owner David Moore and his son Joseph were at the store during the robbery.

The men arrived in a stolen commercial cleaning van and left the store approximately five minutes after they arrived. They took an undisclosed amount of cash and “several large amounts of numerous prescription narcotics,” said Pitocchelli.

Sgt. Pitocchelli said the van was recovered on Sunday behind Allied Corrugated and Design on Lions Club Road. The vehicle has been reported stolen from the Atlanta area.

Pittocchelli said the two man crew were efficient in the robbery and that he was trying to determine if there was similar robberies in the area.
