Madison authorities have put out a “Be on the lookout” call for a tall, thin black male suspected of burglary attempts at both Ingles and Quality Lube.
According to reports, the suspect entered Ingles, Eatonton Road, at 2:53 a.m. through a door left unlocked by a cleaning crew. The suspect, who was wearing a green shirt with a large logo on front, short haircut, blue jeans with large bleach spots and green low-top Converse style tennis shoes, then jumped a counter to the manger’s area and rifled through the office. Nothing was reported stolen, and the suspect left the store at 3:57 a.m.
At 4:29 a.m. the security alarm at Quality Lube, located across the street from Ingles, sounded. Reports state that video surveillance shows the same suspect entered the store through a rear door, rifle through a front office and then flee when the security alarm sounded.
