One of Morgan County’s most popular fundraisers is just around the corner, The Fifth Annual Dancing with Madison’s Stars. Local “stars” will sashay across the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center’s stage on Thursday, November 3 starting at 7 p.m. The volunteer performers will be dancing their hearts out to raise money for the Madison-Morgan Boys and Girls Club, which serves our county’s underprivileged children.
This year’s event will feature eleven dance acts. Three local ministers, Father Dann Brown, Father Randy Maddox, and Reverend David Powers will be the first team, called The Three Padres. The second team will feature Morgan Power and guests. The third team will feature Meghan Holmes and Jeannie Rice. The fourth team will feature Chloe Cooper and Sam Jones. the fifth team will feature Avery Williams, Melissa Gilliam and Christy Bass. The sixth team will feature Sarah Jones and Sutton Trulock. The seventh team will feature Briann Flowers and Ben Fierman. The eighth team will feature Davis and Cox. The Ninth team will feature Eva Delaplane and Jairus Elarbee. The tenth team will feature Pointe of Grace Dancers Annie Akins, Haleigh Daniel, Kimzey Daniel, Brandi Davidoff, Meredith Eidson, and Marie Hayes. The 11th team will feature Maitlin Stapp and Bailey Smith.
Each team will perform a dance routine with the choreography of their choosing in hopes of taking home one of the two prizes, Judges’ choice or People’s Choice. The People’s Choice award is given to the team that earns the most votes. You can cast as many votes as you would like for your favorite couple at one dollar per vote online.
Lasy year, The Madison-Morgan Boys & Girls Club’s premier fundraiser brought in over $40,000 for the organization and was sold out for the fourth year in a row. Help make this year’s fundraiser an even bigger success, by purchasing tickets and voting now for your favorite team. To do both, visit http://www.mmbgc.org.
