Painted Pineapple July 12th to 15th, Tues to Fri, 10am to 6ish pm

Looking for something fun to do during the hot summer months? The Painted Pineapple will be open to walk-ins for creative fun!  Simply drop-in during our Open Studio hours and create. Open Studio consists of process art for a small studio fee or choose from a variety of pre prepped crafts and projects priced based on project.

• Oconee Cultural Arts

Foundation Cameron Hampton Workshop Series

The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) is offering a unique series of one-day Saturday workshops with Cameron Hampton. Workshops are taught in a casual studio environment with hands-on demonstrations and individual assistance by the instructor. You can take just one class or all (separate fee for each) as each class will focus on a different medium and/or technique. Workshops are currently offered in Drawing, Painting (Multi-Media), Watercolor, Pastels and Sculpture. Al-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else’s drinking—be it a family member or a friend—who may or may not still be drinking. • Compassion for Cancer Yoga

Pointe of Grace each Friday from 3 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. Free class. Offered by certified yoga instructor, Allie Bourgeois. This is for cancer patients and survivors. Also open to those with heart disease, diabetes, auto immune deficiency, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis. Also open to care givers such as family members, nurses, hospice & oncology professionals.

Board of Commissioners have a meeting the first Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. and a work session the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. in the board room at the Board of Commissioners Administrative Building

• Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club

• 45 Years of Art and Artists:

Works from the Hathia and Andy Hayes Collection

Through August 20 at the Steffen Thomas Museum of Art.  Included in this exhibit are paintings and prints selected from the Hayes’ collection and include works by national and international artists.  Artistic styles range from Expressionistic and Impressionistic to pure abstraction.  Most works were produced from the mid 20th to the early 21st centuries.

The Georgia Museum of Art will present the exhibition, “Icon of Modernism: Representing the Brooklyn Bridge, 1883-1950.”

•Oct 4- Nov. 15

St. Mary’s Hospice Services is now accepting applications for its Healing Grief workshop, a free 7-week program for adults who have lost a loved one through death. The group will meet from 2-4 p.m. each Tuesday from Oct. 4 through Nov. 15 at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 100 Janice Drive, Athens. Glow-in-the-Dark Mini Golf
