The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center (MMCC) hosted the 38th annual Atlanta Holiday concert last week. The yearly event is a local favorite and the auditorium was packed full for the concert.
“Bank of Madison and Jim Boyd & Associates sponsored the Cultural Center’s 38th annual Atlanta Symphony Holiday Concert,” said Rebecca Bonas, performance director for the MMCC. “Conductor Joseph Young led the symphony in a rousing collection of Christmas favorites from ‘Sleigh Ride’ to the ‘Nutcracker.’ It was a truly beautiful evening for the sold out crowd!”
The symphony played favorites from the Nutcracker and other carols. As always, the symphony concluded the concert with the Madison traditional sing-along and encore of ‘Silent Night’ as arranged by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.” The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has performed a holiday concert at the MMCC for 38 years—nearly as long as the center has been open. “It is an honor to have the symphony perform here in Madison, and we are privileged to be one of only a few sites the ASO travels to year after year,” said Bonas. “And, of course, a special thanks to our sponsors: Bank of Madison and Jim Boyd & Associates.”
