Al-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else’s drinking—be it a family member or a friend—who may or may not still be drinking. • Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club

An official member of the American Contract Bridge League, is now meeting at the Parkside Main 8 Theater,1050 Parkside Main, Greensboro,  at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  For more information contact Betty Roper at 706-467-3079.


We are asking professional artists, amateur artists, budding artists, really anyone who wants to participate to create an 8×10 painting that will then become part of The Great Art Wall of Madison. Sections of the wall will be displayed in many locations around town before the entire wall will come together at the unveiling on May 13th.  Just stop by the Madison Artists Guild Gallery located at 123 S Main Street in Madison to pick up a free canvas or to sign up for a workshop.  For more information, call Lori Williams at 770.312.3495. The Steffen Thomas Museum of Art is proud to announce the opening reception of Placing the Capstone III, the third annual College Connections exhibition featuring graduating studio art majors from Professor Kristin Casaletto’s Capstone Class at Augusta University. The works include paintings, photography, sculpture and ceramics and range from representational still life to portraiture, to surrealist and abstract interpretations of various subjects.

The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) is offering a writing workshop with Dana Wildsmith starting Saturday, May 6. In Testing the Waters: First Time Fiction Writing, Dana will help demystify plot strategies, character development, creating scenes and descriptive writing through discussion and in-class writing activities. This 3-session class will be held on 3 consecutive Saturdays – May 6, 13 & 20 – from 9:30am to 12 noon each Saturday at 34 School Street in Watkinsville. Workshop is open to all skill levels. Cost is $140 for OCAF Members & $150 for non-members. Friday, May 12

From 6:00-9:00 pm in downtown Madison: Country Road Cruisers Spring-time Cruise-In and Car Show. We will close off West Jefferson Street from Main Street to the Town Park for the cars and our DJ.  Spectators can enjoy the FREE show with cars from around the state, Alabama, and the Carolinas. The Madison Artists Guild invites everyone to come and celebrate the unveiling of the 2017 Great Art Wall of Madison on Saturday, May 13 from 5 – 8 pm at the Madison Artists Guild Gallery on Main Street. For those who have bought $30 tickets, they’ll be in the drawing to receive one of the canvases as we dismantle the wall. So join in on the celebration. Tickets are now on sale.
