After winning a historic 8-AAA Region Championship this past season, the Morgan County baseball team put eight players on the All-Region squad this week.  This came as no surprise with the success the team had in the 2017 season.  They took the regular season by storm ending their season with a first-round playoff loss to Calhoun who is now sitting dead in the middle of the AAA final four.

Hunter Lane was chosen as the 8-AAA Region pitcher-of-the-year with a mark of 11-0 on the season and undefeated in region play.  He was also named to the All-Region first team along with centerfielder Jaron Ferguson and shortstop Hunter Christian.  Ethan Stamps was chosen to the first team as a pitcher and to the second team All-Region.  Dakota Young grabbed up a second team nomination as a catcher while honorable mention was awarded to right fielder Jacob Anderson, pitcher and utility man Dalton Cole, and first baseman Grant Cofer.
