Al-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else’s drinking—be it a family member or a friend—who may or may not still be drinking. • Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club

Diabetes expert Guillermo E. Umpierrez, MD, will present at Piedmont Athens Regional’s upcoming Grand Rounds on Friday, June 16 at 8 a.m. Dr. Umpierrez is the head of the Emory Latino Diabetes Education Program, is a professor of medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine and is the chief of diabetes and endocrinology at Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Umpierrez’s Grand Rounds presentation is free and open to all health professionals. Continuing medical education credit is available for physicians.  For more information, call 706.475.7525.
