This exhibit of bright works by master artist Steffen Thomas includes painted images of Venice, the Roman Forum, St. Tropes, colorful Portuguese sailboats, swimmers, bicyclers, city and country scenes.  The exhibit was curated by Amy Smoler and will be on display through August 5. Rev. Dr. Hoke L. Smith will celebrate his 29th Pastoral Anniversary on Sunday August 6th at 4pm. Rev. Dr. Jasper Williams, Salem Bible Church of Atlanta. will bring the message. The Gospel Sensations will provide the music. The community is invited.

Friday, August 11

Local artist Mary Leslie Hartman will be teaching a Paint Class Fundraiser on Friday, August 11th from 7-9 P.M. You will be taking home your very own masterpiece. Cost is $35 which includes all supplies. The class will be held at the Golf Clubhouse for The Creek at Hard Labor Creek. You may register online at or call 678-789-8641. Madison Artists Guild Gallery Opening reception from 6 – 8 pm. Come and admire artist Carol Lindquist’s new work, From a Different Perspective. Starting with traditional watercolor and oil, Carol has been experimenting with alternate methods and materials resulting in mixed-media abstracts. Ladies Bible Study at Beacon Heights Baptist Church, 10 a.m.-12 noon each week. “Living With Confidence In A Chaotic World” is the title of the study. All women are invited to attend. A workbook is required for a $10 fee. Please contact the church to register.
