Morgan Memorial Hospital (MMH) raked in $10,000 so far during its annual Love Light Tree Celebration fundraiser.

“And the money is still coming in,” said Megan Morris, Director of Development and Community Relations. “We are so grateful for the dedication and hard work shown by our auxiliary members who come together to pull off such a successful fundraiser each year. Our Love Light Co-Chairs, Sally Hoge and Anne Trulock, did a phenomenal job once again!”

“The people of Madison and Morgan County never fail to come through in support of a worthy cause. This year’s Love Light Tree fundraiser was no exception. Generosity abounded as individuals honored and remembered loved ones while also supporting our local, community hospital,” said Anne Trulock, event co-chair.

The Love Light Tree Celebration is an annual event and serves as one of the hospital’s premier fundraisers of the year. This event gives donors the perfect chance to give to a worthy cause while paying homage to lost loved ones. Every year, donors purchase a light on the MMH Christmas tree in honor or in memory of a loved one. Individuals may purchase a light in honor or memory of loved ones for $25, $50, or $100. “And it’s still not too late for people to purchase a light,” reminded Morris.

Those wishing to purchase a light or needing more information may contact Megan Morris at 706-752-2237.

“All funds raised by the auxiliary through the Love Light and the Festival of Friends fundraisers go to support the current needs at Morgan Memorial Hospital. Auxiliary membership works in conjunction with hospital administration to select the specific needs to fund,” explained Morris. “We consider it an honor to be the beneficiary of an event that reflects the true heart of our community…standing together to honor and remember those individuals who continue to mean so much.”
