Sentences handed down in Superior Court

The Morgan County Superior Court took several criminal court plea agreements during a recent session of the Superior Court.

The following people pled in criminal court.

Leonard Lee Davis, 34, Madison, pled nolo to one count driving while license suspended. He was sentenced to one year probation and fined $500. According to court records, Davis was arrested on private property by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Sep. 23, 2016.

Clifford Hill, Jr. 46, Eatonton, pled guilty to one count DUI and one count driving while license suspended. According to court records, he was sentenced to one year probation with the first 48 hours to be served in confinement and was fined $800. Records state Hill was arrested by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Nov. 11, 2016, on Eatonton Road near Pierce Dairy Road.

Phillip Dwayne Collins, 38, Red Springs, N.C., pled guilty to one count theft by taking. He was sentenced to one year probation and fined $500. According to court records, Collins was arrested by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on April 14, 2017 after, on Nov. 15, 2016, he took in his possession a 2012 Ford E350 Super Duty Wagon from Youngblood Motors after Youngblood Motors had completed $7,036 worth of repairs without paying the repair bill. Warrants allege that sometime between Nov. 14 and Nov. 15, Collins entered the Youngblood Motors lot and removed the vehicle.

Miquan Xavier Fennick, 18, Monks Corner, S.C., pled guilty to one count possession of morphine, one count possession of marijuana, less than an ounce and one count drugs not in original container. He was sentenced to three years probation and was fined $1,000. According to court records, Fennick was arrested by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on April 17, 2017 for speeding. Consequent to the stop, warrants state, an officer located marijuana and nine morphine pills in the vehicle.

Sean Claude Carter, 44, Brooks, pled guilty to one count possession oxycodone, one count possession of alprazolam and one count DUI alcohol. According to court records, he was sentenced to six years probation with the first 60 days to be served in the Morgan County Detention Center and was fined $1,800. He was arrested on Dec. 15, 2016, by a Georgia State Patrol trooper. Consequent to the arrest, warrants state, officers located 3.5 milligram bars of Xanax and several oxycodone and hydrochloride pills on his person.

Dylan Matthew Bell, 17, Madison, pled guilty to one count burglary in the second degree. He was sentenced to five years probation and was fined $1,000. According to court records, Bell was arrested by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Feb. 25, 2017, after he entered a shop on Holstein Road and took a Yamaha 125cc dirt bike.

Alisha Shores Bain, 36, Athens, pled guilty to one count possession of hydrocodone and one count DUI. She was sentenced to three years probation with the first 48 hours to be served in confinement and was fined $1,000. According to court records, Bain was arrested on Feb. 18, 2017, by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputy for DUI on Eatonton Road. Consequent to the arrest, a warrant states, officers found 17.5 hydrocodone pills in her pants pocket.

Victor Manuel Fernandez, 26, Lithonia pled guilty to one count financial transaction card fraud. He was sentenced to three years probation and was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $1,035 in restitution. According to court records, Ferndandez was arrested on Dec. 22, 2016, after he used a company Chevron credit card to make personal purchases in excess of $5,000.

Destiny Sherray Cochran, 34, Loganville, pled guilty to DUI less safe. She was sentenced to one year probation and was fined $500.

According to court records, Cochran was arrested on July 21, 2016, by a Georgia State Patrol trooper after the vehicle she was driving crossed Georgia Highway 12 and struck a ditch with her vehicle’s undercarriage.

The vehicle became airborne, warrants state, and then came to rest in a tree line.
