Randolph ‘Ran” Morris was born in Madison to Tommy Morris and Hattie Martin on Oct. 22, 1948.
He departed this life on September 20, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents four brothers, Robert, Johnny, Andrew and Terry.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Christine Lawrence on August 26, 1972.
He graduated from Pearl High school. He was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.
He was known as the best auto mechanic in Madison and surrounding counties and he would help anyone who needed repair work on their car.
Ran was an ordained deacon at Second St. Paul Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife Christine Morris, of Madison; sons Christopher (Sherry) Morris and Jonathan (Marcy) Morris of Madison; one daughter Miranda (Charles Stone) Morris of Madison; brothers Tommy (Wanda) Parker of Ricon, Jerry (Shantel) Brown of Hawaii, Kenny Parker, Benjamin Parker, James Brown of West Palm Beach, Florida, Willie (Patricia) Brown of Madison; two sisters Louise Parker and Patricia Giles of Savannah; five grandchildren Karlisha Morris, Kamiyah Morris, Bernardriahna Walker, Rictavious Morris, Jonathan Allen Morris Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 26 at Second St. Paul Baptist Church. Interment was in Second St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
