Drusilla Smith Malcom, 79 of Bostwick, died January 14, 2018 at her home. She was surrounded by her family. Mrs. Malcom was born September 6, 1938 in Bethlehem, to Oscar David Smith and Mary Lee Smith. She graduated from Georgia State College for Women and taught Home Economics at Morgan County Schools. She later helped manage the Duvall Livestock Barn in Greensboro.
Mrs. Malcom was married to the late, Barnett Malcom. She was a long time member of Bostwick United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her card group and traveling. She also enjoyed her children’s and grandchildren’s ball games and missed very few. Mrs. Malcom will be remembered as a care giver to many, not just her family. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandson.
Mrs. Malcom is survived by her children, Stacy Malcom, Sandy (Jimmy) Warbington, Bucky Malcom and Jim Malcom. Grandchildren are James (Alaina) Warbington, Bethany (Landon) Cason, Macy Malcom, Marlee Malcom, Kaitlyn Malcom, Cally Malcom, Ella Malcom and a great grandson, JD Warbington. Her siblings are Jane Odum, Betty Kelley, Winston Smith, Bobby (Marie) Smith. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
The family received friends at A.E. Carter Funeral Home on Monday, January 15 from 5-7 p.m. A
graveside service was held at the Bostwick Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, January 16. A service followed at Bostwick United Methodist Church at 11 a.m.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Bostwick United Methodist Church.
