Mother Eloise Greene Binion (affectionately known as ‘Squeeze) was bird on May 28, 1932 in Greensboro to the late Johnny and Eutha Greene. She died January 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Eutha Thompson Greene, husband Leroy Binion Jr., one brother Sidney and four sisters, Johnnie Mae, Nell, Polly.
She married Leroy Binion Jr. in 1949 and to this union nine children were born.
Mother Binion was blessed with “gifted hands” and could play a piano like a heavenly angel. She loved to bake assorted desserts and cook.
Mrs. Binion is survived by her children: Marion (Gary) Flanigan of Atlanta, Aurelia B. Hill of Madison, Ronald (Gwen) Binion of Stone Mountain, Roy (Patricia) Binion, Covington, Bobby (Kim) Binion of Okeechobee, Fla., Mary (Pastor Frank) Thomas of Clemmons, NC., Arthur, Derrick and Fredrick Binion all of Madison; two brothers James and Moses (Gennie) Greene, four sisters Linda Greene and Mary Callaway of Greensboro, Patricia Ann Mapp of White Plains, Fannie Smith, Atlanta; two loving sisters-in-law Jessie Mae Templeton of Houston, Texas and Sallie Res (Solomon) Gilbert of Madison; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, special friend Beatrice Desai along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins brother relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Binion was held Saturday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. in Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church, Greensboro with Pastor Danny Walker officiating pastor and Pastor Frank Thomas, Eulogist.
Watts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
