The Back Porch located at 119 West Jefferson Street in downtown Madison just opened. Owners Julie and Don Parsons continue to operate the Board & Brush, a DIY wood sign art studio now located in the back portion of the space.

The shop is a welcome addition to Madison, offering sophisticated home accessories, commissioned items themed around Madison and hard to find brands like bags and jewelry from the the upscale Canoe brand.

The Back Porch also offers amazing lamps, art created by a local photographer featuring scenes of Morgan County, the highly sought-after Farm House Fresh Body brand products, furniture, and accent items like baskets, candle sticks and pottery. The Parsons even commissioned a series of Madison-themed candles. Their goal is to offer something for “visitors to take home with them that reflects Madison.” Julie even commissioned a tote that features an illustration of Madison’s famous historic Honeymoon mansion in which shoppers can carry their Back Porch treasures home.
